2019 Holiday Baseball Clinic
The Holiday Baseball Clinic is a tradition in our area, and the HBC will continue that tradition this coming holiday season. Come and learn from some of the best coaches in the area! We will also have local high school players volunteering their time to help you learn all the fundamentals of the game.
Learn about hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, and the many others skills that it takes to be the most successful player you can be. You will also learn that you need to have high energy, a good attitude, excellent practice skills, and to be a good teammate from all of your coaches at the Holiday Baseball Clinic. If you have your own equipment, please bring it with your name on it.
The 33rd Annual Holiday Baseball Clinic will be held for 7-12 year olds on Saturday December 28th, 2019 at the Chuck Reiter Baseball Complex on the island of Venice. The HBC will be run by Jack Voigt, one of the original founders of the HBC in 1987. Check-in will start at 8am and the HBC runs from 9am-3pm. Lunch and a camp T-shirt will be provided. Cost for the clinic is $55, and a donation will be made by the HBC to Venice Little League after the Clinic. If you or your business wishes to sponsor a player, or donate anything to this year’s HBC, please call and let us know.
For more information call Jack Voigt at (941) 416-5100. Deadline to guarantee your camp T-shirt is December 14th. Late registrations will be accepted on the day of the Clinic.
What You Can Expect
Campers will learn the fundamentals of baseball from experienced professional and college baseball players from around the area. We will, of course, stress hitting, defense, and pitching as well as practice and drill techniques to increase confidence, skill level, and team spirit. Most importantly we will be having FUN! Live games at the end of the day will bring together everything taught throughout camp. Each camper will receive a goody bag, including a camp t-shirt. At the end of day 2, we will have an autograph session and awards will be given out.
